Just run the installer. Select the hard drive. And that's it. I mean its just installing without erasing
As in download from the App Store again? Sorry, but English is not my first language and I am having trouble understanding. Do I boot in recovery mode and select "Install", or do I perform everything through the App Store?
I am sorry about all the questions; and thank you again - your help is greatly appreciated.
English isnt my first language either. Just run de app again. If you deleted It download it again. Or, yes you can run the recovery. Is the Same
You guys should just re-install OS X Mavericks.
And then NEVER run crap like CCleaner, MacKeeper, Mac Cleaner, or ANY of that "cache cleaner/fix your system" stuff.
IT BREAKS YOUR SYSTEM, AND FIXES NOTHING!
Jeez.
ROFL. Already told them. They are on it. :p
I did download it again all is well, but without pmcnano's help I would not have been able to get to the apple store...
I have Clean my Mac it worked fine until the Macerick download...sigh now your saying its what messed up my sweet Mac...
how does one remove a program then like I want to know trash it but how...how do I uninstal it...
Well, for starters I would recommend not installing crappy program you will need to uninstall later.
Then again, programs that are "installed" just by drag and drop from a DMG, you can just throw them to the trash.
Programs that are installed via an installer, usually have an uninstaller. If you cant find it you can consult the developer and they have instructions.
🙂
OMG this is unbelievably helpful. I've reformatted and reinstalled mavericks 2 times, searched forums left and right, hoped apple could help to no avail and this did it. Thank you thank you.
Thank you!! I had been struggling with this issue since I updated to Mavericks.

My approach was to install Find Any File from App Store and then search for CleanMyMac and delete every file and folder found.

Excuse my ignorance but, when I click on https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/4956916/OSX/Base.lproj-textedit.zip, nothing happens or downloads. Help please! 😐
Hello!
I just tested it, it works just fine.
Just reinstall the OS.
And get rid of CleanMyMac and MacKeeper and any sort of "maintenance" utility that purports to be necssary. It's not.
Hi pmcnano!
I had the same problem with this files and apps. Now I can use these apps with Your help, thanks for it!!
But I have other apps what need the same solution, could you help me?
My not-working apps the following:
iBooks (I tried with your two solutions but any of these are not working...)
Image Capture
X11
ColorSync Utility
DigitalColor Meter
Migration Assistant
I was wondering if you could help me!
Once I reinstalled the OS because of this F....ng 'CleanMyMac'. So I recommand to everyone not to use! these kind of programs.
Anyway, I looking forward your message!
Thanks!

Hello!
I would advice reinstalling Mavericks over your actual instalation. Thats the only way to be sure you will fix it correctly.
