iMovie export

For whatever reason, the help files in Mavericks will not load in my iMac or I would search for the answer there. I am using the new iMovie (10) that comes with Mavericks. Prior to the Mavericks upgrade the export (share) to file would produce a .mov file. Now the export to file produces an .mp4 file. For my purpose .mov would be better. Is there a way to export to file as a .mov file instead of .mp4 ?

Thanks,

Todd

What I found is that instead of sharing to a file (which will turn it into a .mp4) share it to iTunes and it will convert in onto a .m4v file and WILL work with QuickTime Player. When iTunes opens, simply right click on the file and choose "Show in Finder" and the file will be available and you can save it to anywhere on your computer. I found the iTunes video to be very smooth, and was also able to transfer it to iDVD.

Hope this helps!
