Continuous scrolling not working in Calendar month view

Scrolling does not work in Calendar month view. I have toggled System Preferences >General > Show scroll bars to "Always on." Still nothing in Calendar month view.

BUT, wait! Now every other app (except Calendar month view) now has the scroll bar "Always on" even though I toggled back to "Automatically based on...", then restarted my computer. I don't want to see the scroll bars all the time but now I can't hide them anywhere. It seems "Always on" amd "Automatically based on..." now do the same thing. Serious bug.

Any hints? Thanks

Thanks. Basic concept worked for me. I've never had this problem, before Jun2017 with my '09 mini, and I've been flailing a while with all the online advice I've read. Magic Mouse scrolled fine in other iCal views and all other apps but refused in month view.

I put an instant sleep in the corner, and one sleep with wake by pushing the mouse and the scroll was back on as normal.

I know exactly how you feel. I have been running into these problems myself. It seems that lately Apple has been having a lot of these little problems, and while most of them are probably too small for Apple to address individually, when they compound to be numerous, it really starts to reflect very negatively on their operating system, and on their performance, which I have been growing increasingly-disappointed in. More and more updates are being released, creating more and more glitches. Before they would take their sweet time and get it right, and they really did get it right, as a lot of it was virtually flawless. Now they cannot make up their mind on what features they want: removing some and later bringing them back in. They seem thoroughly confused about their priorities, which leads to an uncharacteristic oversight.

Okay I figured out something interesting. When I connected my bluetooth magic mouse the scrolling works fine on it, but not on my trackpad. Since I have a 2007 MBP which only has 2 finger scrolling, not support for gestures, I am wondering if that is the issue. It might not be treated as scrolling but rather like using 2 finger gestures for swiping between pages in safari ( forward and back ) which is also not supported on this trackpad.

I have to imagine that apple can fix this. Any way to report this to them?

Still no change, problem still there...seems like nobody at apple really seems to care...the guy on the hotline (which was super friendly and really put effort in solving my problem) didn't even know about the it, so I guess it's not on their radar yet...

Oh, by the way, a workaround is just putting the Macbook into standby and waking it up again, instead of rebooting...
