Airplay unreliable after iOS 7 upgrade

After the iOS 7 upgrade on my iPad (Gen 4, 64GB WiFi only, version 7.0.3), airplay functionality (mirroring) has been unreliable - it works for a couple of times but then refuses to connect (i.e. mirror). The screen on the AppleTV remains unchanged and the iPad semi-freezes - in this situation the only way to make it mirror again is to restart the iPad and then it works a few times and then the problem cycle returns. I, however, have no issues with my iPhone 5 - airplay is super smooth with no disruptions. I have upgraded to the latest iOS 7.0.3 and have reset my iPad twice (full restore to default settings). I have tried several iPads Gen 2, 3 and 4 and the problem persists. My AppleTV has the latest version (6.0) and have tested this on an AIrport Extreme.

Any suggestions or anyone else having this issue?

Guys. A lot of problems and no solutions here. Are apple ackowledging this problem. Have they a fix?

Same Problem here with Airport Express (latest firmware) and iPhone 5S and iPad Air(both iOS 7.1.). Music via Airplay stutters every few minutes with no playback. Then lasts for another few minutes until it drops again. Only since iOS 7.x upgrade ;( ;(. No fix yet?

OK, I see this is Apple Tv channel (I wrote about Airport Express), but the Airplay issues are present on Airport Express too!

Hi All, this problem seems to have been going on for over a year according to this string and no-one from Apple has resolved this as yet? I know they may be releasing a new version of Apple TV in the near future, but if they don't resolve these small issues fast enough then the few will lose faith in the product and it will not matter if they release a new version they will likely lose some customer retention, and those few will moan to others about their experience, and those friends they are moaning to might well be PC looking to jump on the Mac wagon but have been cautious. These silly small things can change someones opinion for life on some occasions, just the same way I think about Microsoft OS's, their OS's were so bad when I last used them back under XP that once I switched I understood the Mac way and never looked back to Microsoft, now they may well have a half decent OS now??? I doubt it but who knows?!? I think my point is clear, haha 🙂
