Maverick Boot Camp - Partition and USB installation of Windows 7

Hi my CD-ROM drive is broken and i want to configure a partition for windows 7 and install it from a UB, but i don’t have the bootcamp option for usb installation visible.



My OSX version is Maverick 10.9

Mac model iMac11,2

Boot rom : IM112.0057.B01

I have already tried this :

but neither of them have helped me to get the bootcamp work properly. Every time i try to modify this fie i get an error.



Please any help would be welcome.

I also edited my Info.plist file and now i see option to create windows 7 USB, but when it restart to install windows i see black screen with No BootBLE DEVICE,


MY MACBOOK PRO LATE 2011, MacbookPro8.2


any advice please because my DVD eject all discks i insert so only option for me is to install from USB

I also tried rEFit which worked when i was on Os X Lion but after 10.9 update....It's not helping anymore...!!!

Hey guys I am trying to install windows 8.1 using ISO in CD ROM, boot camp says "Windows 8.1 cant b installed".



Here is the info.pst. A post said to change the msb to one lower mode where windows 8.1 is but there is no windows 8.1 only windows 7. Win7OnlyModels thanks for help.
