Having performed the upgrade, I am finding the toolbar at the top of the screen is occassionally becoming corrupted/scrambled. I've also noted the same scrambled pixels at the side of Safari and Mail windows.

Anyone else experienced this?

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9)

Yes. This problem occurred several times while I was using iPhoto Library Manager and making changes to my iPhoto lilbrary. Both the toolbar at the top of the screen and the iPhoto Library Manager window showed some graphic weirdness (chunky pixelated edges and such). It didn't seem to affect the computer.

It's happened to my Macbook Pro (mid 2010) and there are large scrambled and pixelated borders appearing on all windows and also the dashboard isn't viewble because of the mess. When I restart it fixes it for a bit but I'm not sure of any other solution?

I am experiencing similar problems too having upgraded my MacBook Pro to Mavericks. My laptop is:

    15-inch, Mid 2010

Processor  2.66 GHz Intel Core i7

    Memory  4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3

Graphics  Intel HD Graphics 288 MB

    Software  OS X 10.9 (13A603)

First noticed the problem when the App names in the Dock became scrambled, but also get noisy black 'frame'  around some app windows e.g. Mail, Text Wrangler etc. A reboot seems clears the problem, but it has reoccured several times.

Yes, Sounds very similar to what I have been experiencing since Mavericks update.

    17" MBP Mid 2010. / Processor  2.53 GHz Intel Core i5

Especially In Safari/Topsites grid/Dock and desktop folders/icons all have this visual distortion/ghosting & fuzzy coloured traces...

Rang apple, Very helpful, however only a short term fix only with a few restarts whilst holding various key buttons.

I note that the corruption around the windows is where the shadows are...

I also get corruption on the toolbar, the names above the dock icons, shortcuts and even on the wallpaper!

Yep I have the same issues on 2011 15" MBP Since upgrading.

Safari and Mail seem to suffer the worst although I just went to my desktop and all text and icons are fuzzed out.

If I hightlight any of the text it then appears.

yes, there is the exact same issue with my macbook pro mid (2010), graphics are corrupted randomly. The memory usage goes maximum from time to time...(leaving available memory to merely 25mb at several occassions). I use "memory clean" to free up the ram space and then the issue resolves immediately!

Hopefully this will be resolved with the next patch (soon)!

Yes, I'm having this too.  Details are in my own posts to this forum, including screen shots.

My MacBook Pro is a mid-2010 system also (Model 6,2 - 4GB RAM).  There seems to be no impact on any other aspect of the system (performance is actually a bit better than pre-Mavericks.  Fonts render more clearly, better battery life, no crashes or unpredictable behavior other than these screen/window issues)

I too am experiencing the same issues. Where as after I did the Maverick update I have started experiencing my computer slowing down and graphics freezing into scrambled colors. This is impairing my business and needs to be solved immediately. It worries me that I may lose data after being told by someone else experiencing the same issues tried backing up and has lost everything when doing so.

I'm getting it as well.  I do a reboot and it goes away (for a while).  Seems to pop up mostly after the computer has been awakend from sleep mode for me.

i have been experiencing the same problem, it always seemed to happen as soon as i shut down or sign out of Parallels.

My friend this morning suggested that i download a app that forces the Macbook to use the NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M graphics card. Apparently these macbooks come with 2 graphics cards, a Intel one and the NVIDIA one and then depending on which application you are running the MacBook will decide which graphics card to use.

i installed the little app and then on the top taskbar you will notice an "i" being displayed.. click on it.. you will notice that the current setting will be on "Dynamic Switching".... Click on "Discrete Only".. this will force the macbook to use the NVIDIA card.. this seems to have solved my problem with the graphic glitches for now

please let me know if this fixes the problem for anyone else out there
