Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT

Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

iTunes Store "Purchased" area is blank.

When I click "Purchased" in the iTunes store, a blank page appears. None of the purchases I made on my Apple TV are available for download to iTunes on my MacBook Pro. Is anyone else having this issue or know of a solution?

Thank you.

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9)

Same issue here since updating to Mavericks. Apple support was unable to offer a solution other than sign out/sign in, update/restart, which I'd already done. It appears others are having the issue as well. Will be watching in hopes for a solution so that I will have access to my purchases once again...

Deleting all my Digital Booklets brought the Purchased screen back for me.

Steps:

  1. Click on Music in the Naviation tree on the left.
  2. Switch to "Songs" view.
  3. Search for "Digital Booklet" (i.e. type "digital booklet" in the search field in the upper right corner of the iTunes UI).
  4. Select all items (make sure they're actually all digital booklets first, of course!).
  5. Delete selected items (i just used the delete key).
  6. Select "Move to trash" in the following dialog.
  7. Close iTunes (just for good measure).
  8. Restart iTunes.
  9. Click on "iTunes Store".
  10. Click on "Purchased".

In my case, this brought back the Purchased screen.

Thanks to Simon69 the clue/tip on how to resove this. I hate those things cluttering up my Library anyway...

interesting. i ususally delete my digital booklets, anyway.

it seems iike this works for some people.

as i said (i belive my digitial booklest were already erased), and yet, miraculously my purchased page came back from being blank.

BUT, one the problems that still exists, is that for some items on my purchased page (eg. Grateful Dead - Go To Nassau), i get an error message that says "item is no longer available in the U.S."

genius at bar at apple store realized that this was not correct, but couldn't fix the problem. when he tried a few things to correct my quirky itunes, he was able to retrieve only 2 songs from that purchased album, even though i purchased the entire album. shortly after that, even those two songs were gone.

anyone else who had a blank purchase page, that now is no longer blank, find that for some of their items, they also get "item is no longer available in U.S."?

thanks,

anthony

I feel so bad for you and this ongoing issue. My problem seemed to solve itself since I let go for a few weeks. I cannow see my purchased page and my .pdf files work. Have you looked at it lately?

I believe Apple states somewhere on its webpage or in iTunes that it does not guarantee the music will always be available (see the Disney movie issues lately). Apple either reloads the music, updates the albums when new versions come out, discontinue music entirely, etc. I had the same issue with some of my purchased music. I lost a few albums during my reformat and albums were giving me the same error (Album is no longer available in the US). Unfortunately, I had to repurchase these albums do to backup issues.

cubus25-

thanks for the concern. my purchase page is no longer blank, as well.

but some of the items still say "items not available in u.s.". which can't be true, because if you actually go to purchase that item at the itunes store, you can purchase (re-purchase) it. ???

genius at apple store said it may have something to do with copywrite issues? that didn't seem to make sense to me. if so, why can i purchase it at itunes store?

my biggest problem now is that my itunes crashes everytime i sync my iphone5. genius did a diagnostic work up at apple store and found "two problems with my harddrive". not sure how this happened. maverick related? his solution was to uninstall then reinstall operating system (as if new computer).

of course, that will wipe out my itunes completely. yes, i have my music generally backed up at one or two sites, but i always find it a problem trying to reinstall the music from back up.

i've basically stopped syncing my iphone now. i know there are worse problems in life, but this is a bummer.

honestly, i wish i were an apple genius. i mean that. i really respect those men and women at the apple store (and those of you in the discussions that help). i don't ever think i could pass their training course or have their knowledge. but it would be great, because then i could be my own I.T. person. otherwise, for non-techies like me, after leaving the genius at the apple store, there's always an inevitable problem for me when i get home, that i can't solve on my own. (i know, that's what apple care protection and the phone is for). still, never seems to be simple.

i LOVE apple though. i still think they're the greatest.
