Wifi disconnects after sleep and takes long time to reconnect with Mavericks

Since upgrading to Mavericks whenever my MacBook Air goes to sleep (if I leave it idle) the wifi disconnects and it can take up to a minute to reconnect when it wakes.

Basically what happens is, as soon as it wakes I have no internet connection, the WiFi indicator is pulsing, meaning it is searching for networks, but it takes ages to find any, then after some time, usually between 30 secs and a minute all the networks in my building pop up and it instantly at that point reconnects to my WiFi network.

It is incredibly frustrating I was so used to the Mac being an instant on tool, now it takes longer to get on the internet than booting up my windows PC.

Any ideas what might have caused this?

There are about 10 times a day I wish we had Steve Jobs back and fire the guy in charge of fixing this bug.

It's about 10 times a day that I need to turn off wifi and turn on again so that my MBA connects back to Wifi after sleep. Really annoying.

I combine this with my iPhone 4 turning terribly slow after iOS7 upgrade, and I realize how Apple is starting to resemble the Microsoft of their heydays: Ignoring customers except to lock them in. Where is the flawless user experience that made Apple what it is?

Apple, this is not going well AT ALL.

People don't care to be locked with Apple IF, and only IF, "it simply works."

If it doesn't work, I won't trust you again to lock me in, guys.

Thanks Eric,

I did send my feedback too, but I just wonder if these guys at Apple could put a few bucks of the few billions they make in profit every two weeks to actually SUPPORT their customers.

Even small companies have people that read their own community forums and provide support. How is it a company like Apple simply ignore us here in THEIR own community? At least they could acknowledge it and provide a target date for a fix.

It is really annoying. "It simply works" clearly no longer applies to Apple. Times are a changin.
