Add bookmark button now adds to reading list

Safari 6.1 Mountain Lion

The plus button next to the address bar now adds the page to the reading list instead of creating a new bookmark.

Can/How to change it back?

thanks

Thanks for the good fix, even tho' it takes 2 steps instead of one. As mentioned in an ealrier post you can also bring up the add to bookmarks window by clicking on CMD+D

I just cannot understand Apple not allowing ME, THE CUSTOMER to choose how i want the + button to work.

Everything Apple does at the moment feels like rubbish Windows type programming.

Apple will lose market share unless they start listening to US THE CUSTOMER.

For the life of me I can't get this to work on a MBP.

If I hold the + button and then press option key, the 'add to and make default' does appear. But as soon as I try to struggle with my fingers to slide the trackpad down to select bookmarks instead of the totally useless reading list, voomph. Everything just vanishes and I'm back to square one.

Seriously I'm beginning to detest Apple development, I spend more time trying to sort their functions out than I do using them. Yet another inconvenience. Maybe "Apple - it just doesn't work" would be a better tag line!!!
