I think the "plug into the wall USB" suggestions are right on. Same issue with a late 2013 MacBook Pro. I've been tracking the various threads on this issue while trying to issolate the cause on my machine.
- First the Power Nap settings did nothing.
- I then disconnected my two external USB Hard Drives (one "self powered through the USB connection" and the other a "plug into the wall" My Book) and the problem went completely away (3 days).
- I recconnected the "self powered" drive that I use for TIme Machine and still no problemo (2 days)
- I then recconnected the plug into the wall" My Book and the Sleep/Wake crash was immediately back.
So in my case it's being triggered by something on or with this drive:

I'm now going to reformat this drive and see if that resolve the issue but I wonder if it's the way the drive is powered that is the issue? Anyway, I'll post the results in a few days.
