I administer many wordpress blogs and since updating to mavericks I have had to use firefox or chrome to admin almost all of the blogs that I used to use safari for. Safari 7 seems to sit and spin in various places in the wordress admin panel. New pages, new posts, etc. Anyone have any idea why?
Are you using a WooTheme by any chance???, I have noticed it is particualrly slow with WooTheme themes, check to make sure your frameworks are up to date.

The theme I'm using is from Organic Themes and my Admin locks up constantly too. It's impossible to do anything in the Wordpress Dashboard. I can make one edit to a Plugin, Post, Page, and then it freezes. I have to close Safari and reopening and then I can do one more edit before it freezes again.
Having the same issue. I tried everything: disabling plug-ins, extensions, etc. After a month I tried using Firefox and Chrome and had no problems, however, Safari 7 users can't see any of the new posts or the home page for the blogs recently posted. THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM!!!!
Whenever I try to use the media uploader with Safari I get redirected. Blogging is now null and void with Safari. Apple needs to fix this ASAP!
I will try disabling Java and see if that helps...
I'm having the same issues with Safari, but Chrome works just fine. It's not a DNS or network issue, as I've had this problem on different networks with different DNS settings.
It's always snappy on Chrome. I wish they'd fix this, as I much prefer Safari to Chrome, but I need to be able to post and manage the site as well.
The thing is the frontend for our clients is as slow as the backend. 20 seconds load time means - nearly every safari surfer will close the site before some picture or text is shown. For them we pay Google Adwords in the air! The homepage load time on Chrome and Firefox is 2 Seconds!
So how is the bad guy? Apple or Wordpress?
