"Ignore Update" option nolonger available post-Mavericks?!

Have recently installed OS X Mavericks. Shortly after installtion, my App Store offered several major software updates, all but one of which I installed. And here's the rub: I don't want to install the updated Keynote having read some awful reviews which reveal some serious flaws. But I have discovered there is now no option to "Ignore Update" in the App Store updates area. This was previously pretty easy to do, simply by ctrl-clicking the software INSTALL. But not anymore - that option is gone! It now seems (post-Mavericks?) we are effectively being force-fed updates...

I want to get rid of the nagging RED 1 on my App Store icon. I want to get rid of the Keynote update hanging around in my App Store updates area. It is rather ominous and messy. Can we have our option not to update back please, Apple?

Anyone experiencing the same problem? Anyone found a fix for this?

I have an easier workaround than that, at least for iMovie. I prefer to use iMovie 9, but Mavericks wants me to upgrade to the newer one. I don't want the newer one (tried it, and it runs like a sick dog on my old iMac), and I don't want to be nagged about updating it. So here's what I did: put iMovie 9 into its own folder in the Applications folder. Then, open System Preferences and go to the Spotlight panel. Click the Privacy tab. Drag the newly-created iMovie folder into the ignore window, so now Spotlight will ignore that copy of iMovie (or click the + button and add it through the finder dialogue). After I did this, the red notification badge on my App Store icon in the dock disappeared. Now that Spotlight can see NO version of iMovie on my hard drive, the App Store has stopped concerning itself with nagging me to update it! I don't see why this method wouldn't work with any other app. You just need to put it in a folder, and then tell Spotlight to ignore the folder in System Preferences.
