mac osx 10.9 Mavericks wifi issue

APPLE CAN YOU JUST FIX THIS?? IT'S DRIVING ME CRAZY!!! I THINK I'VE TURNED OFF AND ON THE WIFI MORE THAN 200 TIMES THIS WEEK. GOD **** IT! RATHER THAN MAYBE TRYING TO DELETE THIS POST, CONSIDER FIXING THIS BUG FIRST.

I have the same issue. This happened on my Mac mini after upgrade from Mountain Lion to Mavericks. I have mac air that is still with Lion, and it was working fine! (thanks god i did not upgrade to Mav on my mac air). I had contacted Apple Care 2 times, no result. Have visited Genius bar, but they claim no issues with wireless on mavericks and advised me to change the channel, blah..blah..blah.. My Wireless router is Linksys E3000.

Turning off bluetooth does not work for me.

Just a quick update to my previous post... I have overcome the wifi issue in Mavericks by unchecking "Keychain" in System Preferences>iCloud. Have had no further problems since then.

The only reason I upgraded to Mavs is becasue pages would not work without the upgrade. I was assured there were no issues with Mavs. Ha. I have been lucky to stay connected. I get that dreaded ! mark on my wifi and then it connects. Not always on the faster network.

Hi - I have a slightly different problem.. but related, perhaps someone can help?

I have a new router and have upgraded to Mavericks. All my Apple devices can see the router and get perfect wifi/internet etc, this includes iMac, Macbook Air, iPhone and Apple TV... however my airport express has stopped working as has my airport time machine and my iMac can't see my Apple TV... any ideas!?

I have the same issue (and getting me crazy!!!!). I have few days new MBA 2013 on Maverics. On first conncetion to the router everething is fine and working great. But sometimes if i close the lid and open it again wierd thing happen. Acording to wifi icon on bar on top is everething OK but if i try to load some website the connection is deadly slow so the page gives me "connection timeout" (503 error) or Safari just say, that my mac is in offline mode or something like that. This happend just on my home router, but i guess this will happen on more routers (I am deadly afraid of our school wifi network).

To fix this sometimes i just have to wait or turn on/off AirPort or delete my network from list of previous connections and so.

All othe WiFi devices are working great and with no problem. Even our TV works great.

I am pretty into IT so i tryed everything with my router but nothing works and it`s definitley MBA issue!

I have a MacBook pro retina display os x 10.9 its not connecting to internet properly, even i cant update my MacBook from apple site also giveing problem with connecting, no good connection with gmail, safari or chrome

please advice on this, i live in Sri Lanka no proper technical person to support me. I am using mac sinse Classi II. i was lost with apple after i bought this Mavricks MacBook....

Unchecking iCloud Keychain with all your Aplle devices might do the trick.

Since I did this a month ago, I did not have any problems with wifi, despite running 2 MBA's, 2 MBP's and a MM on MVR.

Please can everyone comment on wether unchecking iCloud Keychain in System Settings does work or not, to make clear if this is the key ;-) solution?

It will be interesting to see if everybody that is having trouble has iCloud in their keychain. You ought to remind everybody the EXACT details to access iCloud in keychain. I found you directions hard to understand.

I have had this problem and never had the iCloud Keychain active. The problem has existed since I upgraded to Mavericks.

This is a Mavericks issue. All my non Mavericks operate with no problems on the wifi.

Apple needs to fix this!!!!!!

Well that settles it. I figured that it is a Mavs problem. I betcha there are plenty out there with non active ICloud.

I've already tried unchecking keychain, but no difference. Still wifi disconnects when I open the lid from sleep, and I have to turn off the wifi and turn on again to connect. Of course if you just close and open it after 2 seconds, it doesn't do anything, but in actual real life situation, if I close the lid and come back after 10 minutes or so..the wifi deosn't connect. So annoying.

Also turning off bluetooth doesn't help either.

I would urge everyone on this thread to call Apple support. I spent an hour on the phone with them and it's still not fixed, but the supervisor I talked to said I was the first person he heard of having wifi issues and blaming it on Mavericks. He said it's probably a hardware problem. When I told him how many people were having problems he seemed surprised. I don't think Apple pays any attention to these threads. We may all have to call and force them to spend time diagnosing the problem one-on-one before Apple is compelled to actually fix the problem.

Apple suppot is clueless. Yet when I get through to Apple Wireless they full acknowledge they have major issues with Mavs condutivity to wireless systems. I have had 2 lenghty converstaions with Apple Wirless and they know they have a problem. But when you talk to Apple support/Apple Care they do not know it is a problem. They are 2 separate departments and you have to manage to get past Apple care/suppot and get transfered to Apple wireless to find this out.
