IOS 7 Apple Settings Facebook Error

Nothing ... still nothing ...tried almoust everything found on internet regarding this error... and when I think that I just switched to iOS and Apple from Android and windows ... started with the left foot ... 😠😠😕

Try uninstalling the app and then removing all previous data via the in-built Facebook app. Basically get rid of any association between your phone and Facebook. Then get a new FB password and see if that works. If you did all this and no luck, I feel your pain as took me ages to work out, but basically, a massive purge of phone/Facebook connection and a new password sorted me out. Sounds simple but took me a while.

I don't see this enable button. It doesn't exist on mine. I really need help.

MIne dosen't work

I have a brand new ipad mini retina. I can access Facebook through the app. I can access it through Safari. I can not access it through the built in IOS Facebook portion. I can not uninstall the built in Facebook feature either, I don't know where to go to do this. Under the Privacy/Facebook potion, there is nothing to check or un-check. I can not add another Facebook user, I can not delete my account either. I have completely reset the ipad from scratch. I have changed the password, several times, something old and something new. I have searched the internet for hours for help and tried everything I have seen and I'm still unable to get past the error message: Error Signing In: Could not communicate with the server. I am convinced this is a programming error on the Apple portion to Facebook, in IOS 7.1.2 (11D257). I am out of things to try to fix this. If anyone comes up with a different solution to try, please contact me at johnnymcelroy at outlook dot com. Thank you so much. I'll keep following this forum to see if Apple replies themselves as to why this bug isn't being fixed.

I was too impatient waiting for a fix, so I found one myself. You have to restore the ipad or ios device and set it up as new, do not use the backup. The problem lies in the restore from backup, saved facebook information. Set it up as a new device and you will be able to fix the issue. This is the only fix so far, it's not that hard to re-install the apps you want instead of using restore.

My girlfriend got the same problem. This is how i solve the problem: open the facebook app, logout and delete the app > go to setting, facebook and delete the account, turn off the phone. and when you turn on the phone, just get to setting>facebook and you will be able to log in and install the app. Hope it works well for u.
