I can't see my Raid (Drobo) on my desktop with OSX Mavericks

Hello,

I just updated to OSX Mavericks. I now have a problem with my RAID array. It doesn't mount on the desktop. I tried updating software, contacting Drobo(out of warranty) verifying and repairing the disk, physically "mounting the disk" in Disk First Aid. I get nothing. In Drobo's program, the disk is functional and healthy. It just won't mount. I didn't have this problem before I installed Mavericks. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Al Harding

I'm having the same issue with a Gen 1 Drobo connecting to my late 2007 iMac running Yosemite. It's been broken for awhile but I just got it to connect to a Mac Mini I had laying around running Snow Leopard. I tried everything to get it to work directly connected to the iMac on Yosemite, but no dice. Sometimes it would show up in Disk Utilities but I couldn't mount it, it would never show up in Finder until I reformatted the Drobo (losing my backup...but I've got another copy). Then when I started the copy to it, it crapped out.

I was just using the Drobo to back up my iTunes Library and some photos, so now I have it using Chronosync to backup an external HD on the iMac to the Drobo, which is shared on the MacMini connected on the network. Kluge, yes, but hopefully it will work until I can figure out a better way to get rid of the Drobo...Seemed like a good idea when it came out, but not sure how they stay in business...
