Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
Since the last update (the last i-Books update I think), the Finder closes and re-starts almost every one minute...
This wasn't happening at the first 10 days that I had Mavericks installed. I have already ran the "Repair Permissions" from the Disk Utility, but not thourgh the recovery mode though.
It is so annoying.

Hi Guys
I really need urgent help! I am in Africa delivering a presentation for the next few days and my 2011 MBP has just started doing the finder thing! I cannot find anyway to stop it. I do not have google drive and no matter what, it keeps doing it - making my presentation useless due to the flicking back every 15 seconds.
Luckily, in safe mode it does not do it, so I know I can get tomorrow out of the way!
Is there a fix for this highly frustrating problem?
In my case the culprit was some leftover Dolly Drive remnants. Read these discussions:

Thanks for the post, my MBP after being rebooted from a session in SAFE mode seemed to have fixed itself.
It is running sluggish, but it has been that way since Yosemite upgrade.

disco -- I'm running Yosemite on a Mac mini and it's great.
Install an SSD for your boot drive.
Do a fresh install of Yosemite.
Reinstall all of your apps from scratch, then bring over your data using Target Disk Mode.
Let us know if it's still sluggish...
