Ipad Air will not turn on

I bought an unopened Ipad Air 64GB White and Silver Wifi only iPad yesterday. I left it plugged into the original lightning cable/wall adapter with surge protector overnight and now it will not turn on. It is completely unresponsive. The iPad Air has not sustained any damage that I can tell. It was never dropped or any liquids splashed onto it. There is no discoloration in the screen. There is no burnt smell noticeable from the device

What I've tried so far:

togged the hold button on and off

Held down both the power and home buttons, at separate times and together

unplugged and replugged the lightning cable (it was charging yesterday)

changed locations for the wall adapter and confirmed that the outlet was working

I'd rather not have to return the device to the store. Does anyone have any suggestions?

iPad, iOS 7.0.3

Try reset iPad a few more times.

Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

I have had the iPad air 64 gb space gray since December. The screen has cracked slightly and I have jail broken it 2 months ago. Today was the first time this problem occurred to me. I left the screen on. Charging overnight. In the morning it wouldn't turn on. After home and power button combination for 10 seconds it worked. I did not have anything Bluetooth connected

Recently while upgrading my IOS my iPad Air "Bricked" (no reponse, no display).

I called Apple support and several other Apple users and tried several fixes (reset, hold home and power, plug into power, etc.) with no success.

It appears I was upgrading on battery power (90%) and walking around on possibly multiple WiFi access points.

I saw the update begin and the Apple power bar was loading the update.

I left the device on my desk and when I returend several minutes later it was dead.

I ended up restoring from my iTunes account connecting my iPad to my Macbook Pro and it began backing up the iPad. After 15 minutes my ipad came to life and asked if I wanted to restore.

I chose YES, restore and used my iCloud backup to restore from.

My iPad is restored with 100% of the applications as they were before the update.

The update was also loaded.

Lesson learned- Plug in your iPad when upgrading IOS and monitor your iPad.

Backup often.

I have an Ipad Air 64 Gb Wifi Cell Space Grey and i have the same problem. I left my Ipad charging last night and this morning i tried to start it and i have no screen. I've tried to reset it at least 10 times and it still doesn't come back on. I've tried to reset it plug into power and no change. I bought it in January and altough i've been experiencing lots of freezings the last couple of months preforming a reset use to always do the trick. I don't have an bluetooth keyboard or any other bluetooth device that pairs with my Ipad.
