The 'Reimport from Camera / Archive' button does not appear in my file menu.

I am having this issue but with video on my iPhone6 plus. It imports all of the videos except 1 from my iPhone.

Over 2 years later and this is still an issue. Importing video direct from an iPhone ends up doing nothing of the sort. The clips in the project still claim they are on the camera (they aren't) and that to resolve the problem I need to "Reimport from Camera/Archive" from the 'File' menu, except no such option exists.

For software that's supposedly aimed at the consumer market, this is abysmal design. The more I use iMovie, the more I see that its feature set is an opaque mess, hidden behind a painfully unintuitive interface.

Apple customers deserve better, and Apple should be capable of better.

Try importing to a folder on your desktop using image capture and then import to iMovie.

1. Create a new iMovie Library
2. Import the video need to be 'Reimport' to this new Library
3. Copy/Drag the imported videos to your original library

After the 3 steps, you should not see the small camera label on your video. I hope this helps.

PS: I spent half hour with Apple Support to fix this problem. I tried use days to figure it out by myself. Since I can't export a video in any kind of format. I have to say iMovie is really disappointed on this problem. The community has this issue since 2013 at latest. How come developer still does not fix this in 2016? This is ridiculous. You show a way to fix this problem, but when you trying to follow this way. There is nothing there to fix it.
