If your device is activation locked to the original owner's Apple ID, without their password or willingness to remove the phone from their account, the phone is useless. If the problem is something else, you may want to make an appointment at the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store as you seem to be unhappy with the attempts people here have made to assist you. You may find working with people who are paid to help you more satisfactory.

Elmac, this reply is for you... you think that because poeple have found an "iphone" that they should take time from their life, stop everything around them, and go to the police... so, this means that if you found just about anything in your life, you brough it back to the police, yes?

You really have to go through that kind of ordeal to turn an iPhone in to the police? Or are you a drama queen?

I have found things in my life but didn't always turn them in to the police. I found a Samsung phone in a mall and turned it in to the mall office. I figured whoever lost it would try to retrace their steps. They did and recovered it at the mall office.
