Cannot order Iphoto Book

I'm at a loss also. You can try logging into another user account on your Mac and try ordering the book from there. You'll have to get access to your library somehow, i.e. move temporarily to the Shared folder.

Thanks "Old Toad" for the suggestions. Nothing has worked. I don't know what else to do. I guess I will have to re-do the whole book in another program. I am not a happy camper.

Are you able to create a PDF preview of the book? Go ahead and try the database rebuild.

Have tried both to no avail. I am wondering if iPhoto is aware that some people are having this problem. For me it has manifested itself since the Maverick update.

Both of what? Log into another user account, create a PDF preview of the book, delete the NetAccess in the Keychain or rebuild the library?

I have tried all of the above except for logging into another user account (I'm not sure how to do that). I have created a PDF preview of the book, could not delete the NetServices because it was not there and have rebuilt the library. I have started a new book in another program not connected to iPhoto, but am reluctant to give up on this one because I love how it turned out.

If you don't have a second user account on you Mac go to the System/Accounts preference pane and set one up. Do not make it an administrative account. You can set up Fast User Switching when you set it up to make switching much easier. Just be sure you remember the user name and passwords for both accounts.

Having a second user account is an excellent troubleshooting tool as it won't have any of the extra addons that would be in your working account. Keep it "vanilla" for that reason.

I had tried almost everything to buy a photo book using iPhoto, and kept getting the message " an error has occurred during your upload". By accident I went into Apple settings and found the Sharing section which allowed me to access incoming Apple events. Unbelievably, my book uploaded and I was informed that I had been successful.

Try the Sharing section in Apple Settings, to allow access to Apple Events. Finally worked for me after days of trying to upload my photo book from iPhoto.

Are you referring to this checkbox in the System/Sharing preference pane?

Exactly. I hope it was not just a coincidence, but on changing the access on these sharing options (including Apple Events), the upload was successful.

WOW! It worked for me as well! Thrilled to finally have this book ordered after dozens of attempts. However, it's frustrating that it took this long and Apple should make that ONE EASY STEP of clicking that Remote Apple Events MUCH more obvious.

So glad this simple check in Apple settings has helped. I found this purely by accident. I agree that Apple should routinely advise people with this upload problem to try this first.
