Cannot save Image Capture scans to Mac mini

When I upgraded to Mavericks o/s, my Epson WF-3540 scanner was left behind. Epson said to use Image Capture until they have updated the scanner driver. When I open Image Capture, it does a preview scan automatically with the document name and location from the previous time I tried to scan with it, then when I click "Scan," I get a window that says, "Done scanning selected areas." I don't think it has scanned the image and if it did, it was not saved anywhere I can find it. There isn't an option for me to save the scanned image, either. Please help. I'll have to use this until Epson catches up...

THANK YOU! This works 🙂 This drove me crazy for several days! I have a brand new Epson XP-312 that I could scan and see document but not save. After two calls to Epson support - (don't even bother to use)... telling me to first uninstall and reinstall scanner software, then secondly sent a link that just lead to a labyrinth of other meaningless and confusing links, I decide to get on this support community. Two minutes later, DONE! Thank you so much!
