Keep getting asked to put in Facebook password, can't delete the account in the settings.

i have a ipad air and this worked like a charm just reseted the privacy and location and loged in worked like a charm

Wish it was that easy. Unfortunately the username can't be accessed and the current Facebook password doesn't agree with the iPad induced Facebook account. This account was a new addition to the latest ios7.1 upgrade and they won't merge.

I'm having the same issue. So frustrating. Anyone have any suggestions not mentioned on the previous 5 pages?

For iPad3: Your fix for DELETING the Facebook account doesn't apply to DELETING the account in settings. The password has been changed on another computer, Facebook on the web and Facebook in settings on the ipad3 are not integrated. Ipad3 knows there is a password and email but the old old old email is still in the iPad and can't be changed and it won't allow the new password because it's attached to the newest email.

I have the same problem. My father gave me his iPad and he linked his Facebook with this iPad but now he deleted/closed his Facebook account, and now I want to link my Facebook to this iPad and just asks me to put the password, doesn't ask me to change the email, just asks me to put the password of xxxx xxxx (and me and my father have the same name) and if I put my password it says it's wrong. What can I do ?

This is a complete joke.

I've tried everything suggested here. Nothing works. I can't post status updates using the Facebook app, can't delete the account in settings and settings won't communicate with the server to input the password.

It's amateur hour, and I note nobody at Apple has had the decency to respond to this thread which is now over three years old.

I'm having the same issue for some weeks since upgrading to iOS9... I was getting the pop-up for entering my password to my FB account all the time. Doing that kept the settings app hanging on "verifying". When I tried to open the FB app it told me my account was blocked, because there was some strange activity detected. Therefore I changed my password. Since then I still can't log-in to my account via settings.

Tried all solutions from this thread (resetting privacy&location, logging off from and deleting FB app, checking Accessibility,..) nothing works. Is there an other solution?
