bluetooth keyboard crashing iOS7

With my Verbating foldable mobile bluetooth keyboard, I had 2 iPhone 5 crashes within one hour using Notes Application.

I was using the Keyboard heavily for notes during a meeting, when the iPhone screen froze suddendly. No user action: touch, keypress, volume buttons, power button, middle button would make the iPhone 5 with iOS7.0.3 react in any way.

Then, after 2-4 minutes or so, my iPhone rebooted, took quite some time, then everything worked as normal again.

The same thing happened again after 20 minutes.

This did never happen for me before, i _never_ observed iOS crash before in that way (longpress on powerbutton does not have any effect).

Afterwards, I recognized that email software lacked the lower menu bar, when viewing mails, or pressing the edit button. Only after a restart I could see the menu bar again in these use cases.

Strange - seems that my buetooth keyboard has dearranged quite some stuff inside my iPhone.

Apple surely has a wide-spread, well known problem here but I can't help thinking that this forum serves no purpose other than for customers to vent. I submitted a bug report to Apple months ago, continue to see new postings here and in other threads related to this issue, which began in IOS 7.x, yet there is absolutely no feedback from Apple regarding a potential fix in the making. Does Apple even read these posts?

This type of corporate behavior is a direct result of Apple having had little to no competition in the tablet market. I have purchased seven iPads (various models) over the past two years; all except one (mine) I gave to others as gifts. The tablet market has drastically changed recently and Apple is losing significant market share. I love my iPad and look forward to the next generation of tablet technology, but I am not set on Apple.

Apple, if you reading this, please provide feedback to your customers who take the time to help you make a better product.

My iPad Air locks up also at least once a day depending on usage, finally took it to the Apple Store 100 miles away and they reset it back to factory defaults, I then had to set it all back up, the next day I had another lock up the screen freezes and the home button is inoperable, I think its a problem with the iPad bluetooth hardware or the drivers, I should return my iPad to Apple just out of principal as they don't want to acknowledge any issue exists. maybe they will if lots of them go back under warranty.

Oh, I didn't have this problem with my iPad 3 and my wife is still using it everyday with a bluetooth keyboard.

I'm having the exact same problem. What should I do to get Apple's attention?

I'm a graduate student at an engineering university, so I frequently hear the old Apple/iOS Vs. Google/Android debate. I used to tell people that one of Apple's strengths is that its products are extremely reliable. My support of that view is waning rapidly.

Edit: I should mention that I'm using an original iPad mini WiFi-version running iOS 7.0.4.

"What should I do to get Apple's attention?"

I submitted a bug report, however Apple's communication policy appears to be one-way only. There seems to be no feedback from Apple, which is horrible customer service.

Unless someone else knows how to get a status update regarding this bug, I'm not sure there is anything anyone can do. Witness what happens when they think they're a monopoly. They are in for a rude awakening considering all the new choices of tablets out on the market.

I purchased seven iPads in the past two years.

Why can't we get Apples attention, "Well I see like this" as we all need microbial life to keep us alive, which we can neither see nor hear, so it is with the GIANT CORPORATIONS AND GOVERNMENTS, they need us microbes to keep them well, reality is that we are simply to small to matter as individuals, However as we all know an over abundance of bad bacteria can kill something many times larger or at least make it very sick. "does this analogy make any sense to anyone?" or am I alone?

It makes sense to me. And like a growing infection, you don't really know you are getting sick until the bacteria or virus grows in numbers substantial enough to have an impact. So this being the "Apple Support Community" insinuates some sort of support from Apple yet there is no support to be found. This forum appears only to be a place to vent.

Hello? (echo, echo, echo)

Apple, are you listening? (echo, echo, echo)

I'm experiencing the same issues as well. I have a brand new iPad Air 64GB and the Apple Wireless keyboard that I have used with a previous iPad for several years without any issues. Now several times a day no matter what application when the keyboard tries to connect to the iPad after a few minutes of no activity or typing it hangs the iPad and I have to do a forced reboot.

I really hope that Apple issues a fix or someone finds a solution. I just lost three years of data in one of my notetaking applications that upon restart from the crash no longer recognizes the notebook datafile and claims it is corrupted with no apparent fix that I can find.

Please help!
