iPad air reboot problem

Are lots of people meet the new iPad air restart problem? I have met it several times since I bought it a week. Any solution can avoid it or should I go to  store to change a new one As this is a really annoying problem.

To give everyone an idea as to whether or not it's related to just the iPad Air. I bought the iPad 16GB Mini Retina and returned it for a 32GB Mini Retina. The 16GB DID THE EXACT SAME THING. I figured it was just software related but wasn't 100% sure. As I was waiting for my new iPad Mini Retina I started playing with the iPad Air. I fell in love with it and decided to just get the 32GB iPad Air. And yes this one does it too. I have noticed it soft reboots when I use multitasking. It did it maybe three times total so far. I also noticed that when it does this I can no longer get a true reading on my battery usage. It comes up with a line and says it will give me a proper reading once I do a full charge. But it was just charged and was at about 95% when this issue occurred. I submitted a bug issue to apple's feedback section so let's see what happens. I strongly feel it's an iOS issue and will be resolved with an update.

In response to drew073 on page 1, you said that your iPad Air started crashing several times a day only after installing iOS 7.0.4, correct? So you bought one before the update, thats great. It never randomly crashed when you first bought the device??? Your iPad Air was actually working like a normal iPad? I bought my iPad Air after November 14, 2013 and the update is already included on the device. The device has always been defective for me, so I refunded it and purchased a new one to take it's place. The second iPad Air is also defective, randomly crashing daily. If these crashes are a result of the iOS 7.0.4 update, and not a hardware issue, I will be happy to keep my iPad and wait for Apple to fix this.

Your answer will greatly assist me in making my decision. Thank you

So I did everything possible and the ball is now in Apple's court.

Restored iPad Air 32GB WiFi

Setup as new

Ran fine for about 48hours and then boom did a soft reboot

Erased two apps that I was using during the incident: crash log showed Hero Academy so I deleted it and I was playing Settlers of Catan HD which I was also playing before I did the restore. So I erased that too. Hero Academy was my first experience with it since the restore.

After deleted I reset my settings.

So this is a test to see maybe if those apps may have triggered the issue.

Based on what I've read this issue is more of an iOS issue and might be linked to safari and the iTunes Store app. Which both I had open at one point when the last reboot occurred.

Perhaps my experience can help others. I was told by AppleCare to hold tight for the next iOS update. So hopefully this issue will be resolved with a new update.

I just experienced this reboot issue on my iPad Air 128MB (Wi-Fi Version only) today while doing some email. I just got the air yesterday (12/17/2013). I transfered my iPad mini backup to the iPad Air from iCloud... all went well. Then today (less than 24 hours later) the iPad Air just shut off, went black screen for few seconds, and then flashed the apple logo as it rebooted. When it finally was done rebooting and the screen came back on, it was showing the "Hello" page, like you get when you turn on the iPad for the first time when it is new. Then it asked my to choose my language, pick the Wi-Fi to connect to, and then took me back into the iPad desktop. Thankfully everything was still intact. All my apps were there, and none of my settings had been changed.

What is the deal with this? Does Apple know about this problem, and are just not saying anything? I love Apple products, but I wonder if they are rushing devices to retail to fast. Maybe they don't spend enough time beta testing their devices, and software... like Microsoft tended to do.

I hope that Apple even bothers to read these forums. Something tells me they don't.
