iPad air reboot problem

Are lots of people meet the new iPad air restart problem? I have met it several times since I bought it a week. Any solution can avoid it or should I go to  store to change a new one As this is a really annoying problem.

I just spent 2 weeks on a cruise... No email, no Safari, just Garageband and iBooks etc., on Airplane mode... all off-line stuff. Didn't have a single crash/glitch on my ipad Air 128GB, which was noticeable as I had previously been having lots of regular crashes.

As soon as I got back on dry land/connected to Internet, I am having regular crashes again, usually in Safari but not limited to that.

May be just a Red Herring, but does seem like a comms issue. Has anyone has crashing while in Airplane Mode?

I too have the same problem with my IPad 3, several times now it has tripped out. Today the screen went blue and then switched off, it took me half hour to reboot. Does anyone know when Apple are going to offer a solution to the IOS 7 problems?

This is becoming a real problem and extremely disappointing for an expensive piece of equipment.

Can anyone out there help????

Mine has rebooted (apple logo) about 4 times. It has just closed out of Safari about four times as well. It seems to always occur during app switching. I have had no issues with iPad2, iPhone4, or iPhone5, all running the same OS.

I really hope this is a software issue with the 64-bit processor that is in the Air. It's possible of course that it is a hardware bug with the new 64-bit architecture, which would be more regrettable, but even then, they may be able to work around it in software.

I think it seems less likely that I have a defective pad now, since so many folks are having the same issue. So I guess I will hold off on taking it back to Apple until we know more.

I have bought the ipad air 4 days ago and when I was using a new app it suddenly stopped and the initial screen appeared and flashed repeatedly. Turning it off was just possible by rebooting . And it happened again when I tried to turn it on. What a mess!!! I am really disappointed. I have the ipad 2 and never experienced such problem!! :(

I phoned Apple support last week, they never mentioned a widespread problem, which there obviously is! He just told me to reset my ipad, which I did, it improved it temporarily, but is almost as bad again, very frustrating, come on Apple, up your game & sort this, I didn't pay all that money for something I can barely use!!

My iPad Air is 2 months old, well I purchased it two months ago anyway. Soft reset right from beginning. Then blue screen, Apple logo loop and won't even factory reset. Managed reset after fiddling for hours. Week later crashed to the loop again and won't turn in. Apple did DFU (was actually in DFU mode when I bought it in). Week later started soft resetting yet again. Back to Apple, replaced. Five days later same problem, the won't turn on loop. Back to store, DFU again, which it knew would fix it on the spot, but not for good.

Still soft resetting. Sick of it. They act like they have never heard of this issue before. Same story every time I am there. Asking, did you do an update? Well that must be it, you know 'bugs' creep in while doing updates, so that must be it. Told her I have heard it all before. Won't be doing any new updates, so they can't blame that again.

Apple, just fix this, tired of losing data, as they advised I not backup, as it might be corrupt. Still crashed, so. to the problem.

Just updated to iOS 7.1 - I was filled with hope thatt his reboot issue was resolved

ITS GOT WORSE... previously apps would run for a short time, then iPad Air would reboot - now they will not even launch - Tap on App - *boom* - Reboot...

I have completed the following:

Updated to iOS 7.1 via iTunes

Restored from my iPad3 Backup

Restored to factory defaults via "Erase all content and settings"

Restored to factory default from iTunes

Downloaded a small selection of apps previously purchased

All the above resulted in instantaneous reboot each time an app is started

Does not reboot when running built-in Mail/App Store/Game Center/Maps etc - these run perfectly

To say I am frustrated, after waiting patiently for the last few months for this miracle cure (iOS7.1), is an understatement

Do we now have to wait for the developers to apply any 7.1-specific updates to stop this happening?

My expensive iPad Air paperweight continues its pre-7.1 role for now... grrrrr
