Carriage Return in a Cell in Numbers (iOS)
Is there a way to do a "carriage return" in a cell in Numbers iOS?
The equivalent of "option+return" on the Mac keyboard.
Thanks,

Tap and hold where you want to insert a line break in the text edit field. When the menu appears select 'insert' ...
This solution worked for me and is saving me tons of time - many thanks!!🙂

this answer is still the best as it is the 'actual' by design way to insert the Line Break.
thanks
This seems to work for me:
create a new text field (not table)
enter carriage return
do select all
go to the table field where you want to have the CR
select at the point where you want it
do paste
Lol! Did this but annoying … just found answer below and worked ...Yippee!
Thought you might like too… Hold Option/Shift Click Return
Fantastic! Thanks! :-)
Hitting 'Insert' then allows you to select 'Line Break' which I can confirm achieves the same effect as Opt+Return in the OS X version of Numbers.
By the way, if you are using an external (Bluetooth) keyboard attached to the iPad, opt+Return works as it does on MacOS version, giving you a line break in the cell.
