iTunes 11 sync problems with iPhone 5 and ios 7

Well here is another kick in the pants for the IPAD. My sister has the 3rd generation, when she finally updated IOS last week (she held off becuase of all my issues), half her collection lists went into limbo. They literally have disappeared and no all you see is white space where the author name was. The collections are dead .. meaning the minute she touches one of the blank collection names she gets booted out of the app. She has tried to delete the app and re-install and they still rename. So basically you can't delete them AND you can't add new ones.

Fix: she will probably have to reset her IPAD and start all over

Note to ALL: Once you update to the new IOS .. there is no way of going back to the older verison.

Been thinking about doing that. I have to drive 2 hours to an apple store though because I don't want to ship it to them and sit and wait for another phone. I already went there in September to replace the iphone5 that I had before this one. The top power button on that one wasn't working. I don't want to make another stupid trip down there if I'm just going to get another piece of crap phone.

I replaced my IPAD Air 2 times .... the 1st time was thinking that it was just the hardware acting up, so I switched from a 64k to 128k ... didn't help. 2nd time I switched becuase the screen had 2 spots that were inbedded into the screen and wouldn't go away. So I am on the 3rd AIR and still the issues are there. No update to ibooks or the IOS software .. so no fix. Dev is well aware of the issues of this app.

I fixed the "Can't sync iphone with this computer because it is not authorised" dilemna like this:

I am using iPhone 5 and iTunes 11 on Windows 8

1. Close iTune

2. COntrol Panel - Unistall or change program - select iTunes and click "repair"

3. Open iTunes and connect iPhone.

4. Automatic sync won't work, but simply select what you want to sink ( I selected albums and artists)

5. Go to your library - Music - select and album and just drag and drop to the iPhone.

Somehow this kicked off the whole Syn process and it finally did a full sync, apps and all.

Relieved.

I am having the same issues as everyone else but I have a Mac. @Cleansheet1 it sounds like the fix you offered was for PC users but will that work for Mac users?

I'm not too sure about Mac's as I haven't got one to test it on so I don't know if it will or won't unfortunately. Maybe give it a go? I'm really not sure. :-/
