Saving results of HP scan fails on OS X Mavericks

After scanning a document on an HP C4280 all-in-one printer conected to an IMAC running OS X Mavericks, when I try to save the document to the hard drive, the save operation fails due to file permissions problem. Never had this problem with prior versions of the OS X.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

It is January 25th and I am having the same issue with my HP Officejet Pro L7680 All-in-One. The work-around identified by ERMELINDIS above does work but it is very time consuming and only one page at a time can be scanned. I use my scanner everyday. This is unacceptable. HOW LONG DO WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR HP TO UPDATE THE DRIVERS/SOFTWARE????? My scanning jobs are piling up. If this does not get fixed soon, I will be forced to buy a new printer/scanner. It won't be an HP!!! Does anyone have any recommendations on printers that work well with macs?

I was having the same problem with my HP C4280 with HP's latest driver, until it quit working after a maverick update. I then I uninstalled the HP driver and installed the apple software update that has the print drivers. This created a new problem. I could not save a scan. Whenever I hit scan, it says it has already scanned but it would not save to my "save to" destination, or anywhere for that matter. I was then playing around with it and went to the edit menu and selected "select all" then hit scan. It finally saved. Now my next test is to see if I can scan/save multiple pages in a single document.

I have same problem with scanning documents after upgrading to Maverick OS X in 2013.

Am runnning OS X 10.9.4 on the Mac.

Using HP PSC 2355 all-in-one printer/scanner and HP Scan V2.1.4.

Scanned image looks good. Can save "first" image scanned to desktop but it is greyed and/or blacked out.

Second, third, etc doc scanned and saved produces following error message: "An error has occurred saving the file because it could not be written to. Check the properties for the file to make sure it is not read-only."

All users properties of desktop are set to read-write. Not a file read-write problem.

Since problem started with upgrade to Maverick, believe it to be a Maverick problem.
