So I reinstalled my computer and saved my movies on an external hardrive. Now the movies that I had on iPhoto won't play. I double click the file which is a .MOV file, and it opens but once it opens i hit play and the quicktime says that the movie is 0:00 I hope there is a way to fix this because I deleted the movie

I'd like to keep the movies in the respective events that way they move into correct folders when I export. Any solution that will fix this? It seems like there is still an overall issue with the export feature exporting movies without any actual video footage and just a thumbnail.
Tag them with a keyword for their respective events. Then export in batches to the target folders.
This still doesn't make any sense. I'm going to have manually create 350 folders and drag each event into it's own folder basically vs being able to use the auto export feature? It shouldn't export movies without any actual footage, it is broken.
If you're running iPhoto 9 or later you can export each event to a folder with the same name automatiocally and get all of the movie files exported as movie files with these export settings:
Just select every event in your library and use that Export setting.
This is exactly what I did, several times, and when they exported the .mov files, they actually only exported a small frame of the video with a time of 0:00 instead of the actual video which can still be found in iPhoto. That's my point. It isn't working and I need a fix.

and report it.
Remember we're not Apple here. We're just users like you. We can't fix anything. If it's broken you have two choices: work around it or wait for Apple to fix it.
