What if this doesn't work? Do you have any suggestions? My iPhone 6s just randomly shut off yesterday, and I've tried hard resets, iTunes, and contacting Apple Support. Neither of the first two options made any changes to my black screen, and the latter just resulted in Apple telling me to try those methods again, and when those didn't work, to schedule an appointment w/ the Genius Bar to repair my screen. That's my last resort. I know this is an old thread, but it's still working for people today so I was wondering if there was anything I could do next.

If anyone else with the same problem (or prior experience) has any suggestions, please reply. Thank you.

Thank you so much, I thought I needed to buy a new phone but I saw the replies and it Helped. I pressed the home and power button at the same time and I thought it didn't work, but I did it again and it worked

You damaged something internally when you dropped it. Make an appointment at the Genius Bar to have it evaluated.

Nothing you can do without a functioning lock and home botton, necesary to reset the phone. Get it repaired. B

It works if you press it really hard, but it's temperamental. You think it's worth taking it to the genius?
