Mini Cooper, iPhone 5 iOS 7 and adapter

We have a problem with the iPhone 5 adapter in our Mini Cooper. Audio and Mini Connected is not working.

At BMW and Mini they told me I need to wait for a new model of this adapter.

When can I buy this compatible adapter?

Hi,

I have managed to get a snap in adapter from Mini Cooper which means I can finallly play music from my iphone 5s without roasting the battery via the bluetooth connection, BUT what I would like to know is: could I use an ipod in the snap in place instead of my iphone, are they compatible? Aside from that I have asked Mini to remove the clunky 6 cd player they installed (without asking me if I wanted it) in the glove compartment. It takes up at least three quarters of the space. Any advice about ipods and snap in adapters would be very welcome,

Thanks,

Lizzie

I got the 61122287642. It's working perfectly! Mini recognizes my Iphone 5s as an "Ipod", now I can skip/repeat tracks and change volume in the wheel, the song name appears on the dash and I can select songs by genre, album, singer, etc in the programable buttons of the audio system.

I didn't try to plug an Ipod, but by the name "Ipod" in the dash when I connect my Iphone 5S, I believe an Ipod is compatible.

I found this cable only in ebay in a seller located in Lithuania! It was pretty expensive, about US$ 120, but I'm very happy with it. It took about two weeks to arrive.
