Can i make PS4 to display on my iMac?

There is no converter available for any Thunderbolt-equipped Mac. The converters work only with the pre-Thunderbolt 27" Macs that have mini-DisplayPorts only.

Is there any way to update an older iMac with display port (2008) so Target Display Mode will work?

As I said previously, lag time on video input devices usually makes game play unworkable. And one can buy a perfectly decent monitor for the price of one of those Blackmagic units.
