iPhoto doesn't work after Mavericks "update"

I updated to Mavericks Iphoto and now it doesn't populate any of my photos, videos, or events from before the update. It asks me to find a library on my computer.

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

You updated without making a back up of your iPhoto Library. There is no update to iPhoto that can fix that.
