iPod Sport Kit Volume levels

I've read the instructions a couple of times and gone through the Nano settings and can't seem to find out how to adjust the Spoken Feedback voice levels. When running I listen to music through Shure sound isolating earphones. At a reasonable sound level (med-hi) when the Feedback occurs, it's super loud. It's so jarring, that I'd consider returning it, if it's not adjustable.
Is this voice level at a standard level or can it be adjusted?

Just to add my voice to this little issue, having the same problems - the volume got gradually quieter with every run, until I had to do a complete restore, then by the second run it was doing it again v. frustrating.

I think the hard reset that is recommended here seems to work - but I'd rather not have to do it every coupla days.

Come on Apple, a software update please?

Glad I'm not alone. Just thought I'd add to the headcount. I can't even seem to reset unless I've completely backed out of the Nike+ menu.
Now I'm resetting before every run to be on the safe side, otherwise doing it mid-run chops the current stats in half.

Whilst you're compiling the corrected firmware, maybe we could have a UK female voice added too? 🙂

What appears to happen is that it gets stuck at the volume level when the announcements occur (example: 1 mile completed, music volume is temporarily lowered).

I went to the local Apple store and the Genius' told me that I would need to Restore in order to get the volume back up. This *****, because I am a marathon runner and listen to books on tape as I run. It deletes where I left off.

If interested, I blogged about this the other day at http://blogs.technet.com/mhass/archive/2006/09/11/455512.aspx

I had this issue today and had to not only had reset but restore the Nano all together. I lost all the data on the nano but not on the website thankfully. I posted a new thread on restoring data to the Nano. Anyone have luck with that? Any patches or way to download from Nike? Hopefully they create a software or an add in app to fix this...
