'You've already rented this but it hasn't been downloaded. Go to Downloads to manage your downloads.' Where and how do I do this.

How does one do this.

I tried all the procedures as well, same problem, even the hard reset procedure. If I deleted the rental then went to buy it would recognise I had a rental and tell me to go to the downloads tab (which would be visible at that time) but as soon as I acknowledged that I already had paid for rental it disappeared.

Boooooo apple!

Booooo!

Let me pile on Apple!! I began an avid Mac fan in 1999. iMovie brought into the fold then I realized the superiority of the computers then the customer service was amazing. I owned the first iPod. I owned the first iPhone. I've brought countless...literally countless of others into the Apple family.

Now I am warning people away from apple because of the inferior products and lack of customer support. Resting on laurals from the '90s will NOT keep you on top.

Please fix this "Rental" issue. You're 5 months late on this...

5 words: it's in your "videos" folder. Not in iTunes and not in a folder labelled "downloads." Took me 3 people and 20 minutes at the Apple store, as well as this site, to get this simple answer. So easy! If only the geeks understood how basic our needs are… (The troubles with interrupted or slow downloads are covered in other posts.) (ipad mini running 8.1)

This is BEYOND frustrating. I've spent more time than the length of a movie trying to get a movie. I did a hard reset, logged out and back in, etc... Downloads is showing, but there is no movie listed to continue or start downloading. In my Videos app I have a grey box with the movie name, but it does nothing but pull up a description when I touch it. I will call them tomorrow to get my money back then go buy Samsung for everyone in my family. Apple has known about this problem for years yet hasn't resolved it nor just removed the functionality. Unbelievable.

It is asinine that Apple hasn't fixed this yet. It's been THREE YEARS since this was posted. I had the same problem. I started a download, but could not finish it, and when I got to the airport, I couldn't resume. Signing out and in again did nothing. I eventually signed in with an alternate Apple ID and rented the movie again. Terrible, terrible, TERRIBLE user experience. Apple, you should be ashamed of yourself. User experience used to be a priority. Now, as long as you have my money, it seems like an afterthought.
