Cant download apps, it says that i need to update my billing information, but the information is up to date. When i re input the info it says there is a problem with the last purchase. I can't upgrade anything, or even update apps. Free ones or otherwise.

Can anyone help me out? Prease?

That's not true..If you owed a previous bill it would tell you that you have a previous billing problem. By giving you a bogus answer that their way of trying to help when all they want is your information. There is some kind of stat they are getting out of this for sure. Their site will tell you that we need that info because the out of country app developers need it. But you can get the same exact apps from android without any type of billing info at all as long as the apps and updates are free. It doesn't even come up at all when getting a free app or update..I cannot believe that Apple is doing this to their customers.Its so frustrating. I have been with them for the past six years and I am switching to the Samsung Galaxy when I update this year..

Ok so this is what I've tried:

* sign in

* chose none for billing info

* taken back to sign in, so signed in again

* chose none for billing info again

* taken back to sign in, signed in again

* entered my credit card details, and given error saying the information is wrong

~ I don't owe anything, anything purchased is straight out of the card, not invoiced

~ My card details are valid, with money in it

Considering there are more than 1k people having the same problem, makes me wonder if it's some software issue... that we may be able to take to a specialist, because nobody here seems to know 😟. Good luck everyone

How I got around the problem, was to make a new paypal. By entering my card as a credit card, it came up with an error saying no valid card type. To the side, where it shows an avatar of what type the card is, the avatar disappeared upon entering the last number.

A bit of a weird solution, but a solution all the same. Only queries I have, is why the last app I purchased showed up in my email, even though it was deducted earlier. Why are others having this problem when they have not purchased this? Finally, why are we not given a notice saying we have 'x' owing on the account?

So as others have said, change your payment details to something valid. If you believe you do not owe anything, or believe you have a charge that shouldn't be there, call them.

Hi I have the same exact problem from a free trial I had but cancelled and still got hit with charges. I called apple and you can either do that or look up how to see all purchases on your phone so you know exactly what one is causing the problem then you have to pay it and get ahold of apple and dispute the charge if you didn't actually do it. After that they will refund every dollar back to you and your phone would be fine I was going to reboot my entire phone because then it would be a new user account but didn't wanna go through all that. I hope this helps you.

There is a lot of problem with the billing.Its been a long time but the problem is not solved yet.Even when the bank details are correct also,the money is getting deducted and it is showing that there is problem with the billing details.And I cannot understand whom to contact regarding the balance deduction of multiple times from the bank account.We trust apple alot,that is the reason only we give the bank details multiple times even there are such issues going through.But this is not the way and APPLE should definitely go through this,fix this and save it customers.
