Impossible to rename flags in Mail

I tried to double click to change name of flags in Mail, but it doesn't stay long enough to be able to write down a new name.

So I stay withe "red" "blue" and "green" flags.

Not very important but annoying.

Anybody would know a solution to that or a possible reason for the problem?

Thanks for your tips😕

Don't double click, just select a flag in the mailbox list by clicking it once, then click again once on its color name to change it and, after you've changed it, press return...

Same here, from time to time (days sometimes weeks) mail resets my custom flag names to the color names. I can't find any relations to any actions (like updates or so). I can see this on my MacPro early 2008, latest Mavericks. On my MacBook Pro I had to recognize the same thing for months, since 4 weeks now there is no issue on that machine… strange.

Any advice?

The same for me, also iMac 20" early 2008.

Apple is messing up with there preferences,

there is /Library/Preferences/mail..., /Lib/container/Mail, /Lib/Synced_Preferences/Mail and Application supp/Mail/... some are changed at the same time and some are later with the same info and key. Brrr.

If you look into ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail/Data/Library/SyncedPreferences/com.apple.ma il.plist in there their they are, the flag names.

My system has a SSD instead of the CD-rom drive with the OS Mavericks.5

The Users Folder is at a different volume but linked with mk link to the right place. /Volumes/Users -> /Users

What is your setup? Maybe if others elaborate we can nail it down.
