iPhone 5s low bluetooth audio volume

Very simple: while music is playing via Bluetooth in your car stereo, (and presumably other BT devices, but I cannot test), press the phone's up volume button until you reach maximum. This even works on the home screen, and it doesn't affect the ringtone volume setting.

Exiting Facebook worked to an extent. What fixed it for me was calling voicemail wile connected and hitting the up volume button on the phone. A "Bluetooth volume" icon appears on the phone and volume goes way up for music. Also make sure EQ, volume limit, and sound check are off in music app.

I had same problem - while playing music via bluetooth through the car speakers, i maxxed the volume using the buttons on the left side. My Music volume and ringer volume were already maxxed - i think this maxes the Bluetooth volume. I got 2-3 times as much sound

Hi, I had the same problem with my bluetooth handsfree, but it just started all of sudden. Before, it had worked loud enough, but suddenly volume went down. Just like in your case, phone calls were loud, but music and any apps (like youtube) were hardly to be heard.

I tried your suggestion: unpaired the device, switched off the device and bluetooth on my iPhone (5c) for >30 seconds. And it helped! Now all the sound are loud as before. Thank you for your contribution.

I know this is a year old but out of the entire world wide internet this is the only thing that worked...thxs, I didn't even know there was a separate Bluetooth volume control that can be accessed only when making a call while connected to a Bluetooth headset...
