It came as a suprise that my phone was locked when I tried to change supplier. I am now informed that the phone is automatically locked by Apple when instructed by a supplier. what right do they have to do this when I have puchased the equipemnt out right. It is restrictive practice and should be outlawed
ALL iPhones sold by CPW will lock to the first UK carrier used. If they told you that you were purchasing an unlocked phones, they lied. Your problem is with CPW, not with Apple.
i now realise this, and will learn not to trust CPW
However i still think Apple are not free of blame , they designed the iphone and the software.
It has nothing to do with the design of the phone or the software. Buy your Android phone at CPW and it will do the exact same thing.
Correct but not to be sold the way that CPW is selling them.
That is the problem not the design.
