Well, after discussions with Apple, it seems that as I only have my EIN (Tax ID) since less than a week, I need to wait for IRS to update their database. They said :

"If you recently registered for a U.S. Tax ID, it can take time for it to become part of the IRS database records, even though it has been issued to you for use. We will not be able to validate your U.S. Tax ID information until it is in the IRS database records."

It is my case, and I read on various blogs that it can takes up to two weeks. So I will wait until next week, and try again.

I asked too for the different apple IDs and Apple "recommend using a separate, dedicated Apple ID for your iBookstore application and account."

Stay tuned..

As ierodotorg mentions.

You need to create a new ID using a new email address - Apple will not accept, what they class as your iTunes account as a Paid books account. When they first started taking ebooks, in my case, I opened a free books acccount with my "normal" ID, I think now thats been changed also.

So for your own ease of use and less confusion, its wise to open new email address for both free and paid book.

Free and Baid books accounts = different email / ID ... each also needs to have its own iTunes Connect account... which is why many are confused about not accessing iTC with the wrong account ID.

To say using apple is a nightmare is an understatement, there are no obivoius links or information regarding my not be able to logon onto itunes using my apple id which seems to open up the app store ????? Two hours ago i tried to get information regarding how to release a song on itunes, but i cannot even logon to read the information, this really is pathetic in my view. I am totally disgusted with this joke of a system

Apple have a system that works... but not always how we expect it too!

Some details which may help.

When we first open an Apple acount to buy apps and books etc,. - Thats it... it does not really do anything else.

You say want to log in to iTunes - to upload a song.

What I think is best for you is to look at the top of this page ans you will see "Apple Support Communities"

click on that to open up the full list of Apples varioes support groups, scroll down till you find the iTunes.

Go into that group and - may I suggest - APple do not monitor these groups - so dont waste effort complaining about anything... just make a post to ask for help and information that will help you upload your songs.

My opinion is that you have not actually opened a sellers account, which is a new account and separtae from the normal APple account to buy apss, etc,.but their are experienced sellers whi will be able to help you.

SHOUTING ON HERE... does not help you. Apple do not monitor this or any other discussion groups.

Different accounts with Apple - usually - require different user names ( email address) and PWs

Only you and Apple know know how many accounts you have and what there are related with.

iTunesConnect is expecting the username and PW you used to open - which ever account its related too.

Your problems will need you to contact the relevant Support team.

The same applies to each OP with the same problem....

Listen Dude, I shout because no one including yourself, is giving any usefull information regarding the matter. You don't think I know how many accounts I have or how to sign in? I have one account same one used on my developer account and from my developer account the Apple ID and password WILL NOT allow me to sign in. If you have usefull information on this matter or a number to someone who does, please share it otherwise, don't comment.

Listen Dude, I and others are under no obligation to even bother to reply to you.

Apple do not employ me to waste trying to help people with a problem.

Yours is an account problem - so the best people to ask... are the support team.

If your password and or the username is not accepted - then its obvious the problem is something that only Apple support can help with.

How do you expect me or anybody else to know details about your account or how you set it up and if you set it up correctly.

Rest assured should you post again.... I will not waste my time or yours with any suggestions.
