When i go to download an app it says 'this apple id cannot be used for the itunes store' yet i have been using this account for four years, can anyone help?
Same problem here on Apple TV. Sign Out, restart, restarting by removing power (that's worked in the past for other problems) all don't work. MacBook, iPhone, iPad all sign in fine.
Don't try to sign out. Now it just tells me that I can't sign in or it gives me the same error. That's crazy, I've never experienced an issue with the iTunes Store. We'll just have to wait.
Changing the date to December 11 worked for me! 🙂

I was having the same error message. I looked in Software update and it said there was an update available. I installed the update and everything's working fine now.
