I sent them the link to this thread and this was their response:

"Although our Apple Discussion forums are a wonderful place for our customers to share and discuss their ideas on topics and issues; however, we find that in most cases, customers have not yet contacted us about these issues! Also, while it may seem like a large number of customers, keep in mind we have over 300 million devices in the world, so only a very small portion of our customers may be experiencing a particular issue."

That is actually a fair response. Last winter I was talking to one of the power company guys who was working in our neighborhood after a storm knocked out power and he told me that the number one reason they are slow to respond to power outages is because they don't know about them. Sometimes a neighborhood will be down for hours before someone actually calls the power company to get a status update and that will be the first they have heard of it because everyone just assumes that one of their neighbors probably already called. I believe psychologists call this the "By-stander Effect"/"Diffusion of Responsibility".

For what it is worth, I created an Apple Support case vial email before I started complaining online. I have yet to get a response from a real person about my email though.

I, too, created an email case. They ask that we give them 24 hours to reply. I have tweeted Tim Cook, as others suggested earlier in this thread. Someone retweeted my tweet, so between Twitter and all the discussions, it is getting out to the masses. Apple would be hard-pressed to say they are not aware of the problem at this point. Note: More than 2 million Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo, Linkedin, ADP, Google, and other accounts have been compromised, and some companies such as Twitter have responded by disabling the affected passwords. Not to spread rumors, but could this be part of the problem and Apple is flying low until they check things out? Just saying.
