Safari Browser won't refresh on iPhone

I am using safari on an iPhone 5S. I am trying to look at a web site that changed within the last 12 hours. The safari browser still shows the old web site. I click on the refresh icon next to the url, but it won't load the new version of the web site.

I go to the same website on my laptop and my wife's iPhone 5S. In both cases, I get the new version of the site.

HELP!!!!

If the problem is solved, good for you... But I must add my $1 in this area...

LOL... I knew you were the web master of that particular website from the very start ;-}

It's not out dated data on Safari's part, it's out dated medthod of using Frameset/

Framebase websites that has been considered obsolete due to usability and accessibility

concerns since the early 2000's. The implementation of frames is inconsistent across

different browsers. Plus the features has been removed from the standard

HTML5 sites. I understand your frustration, but you will always have problems with

Frame Based web sites due to the never ending changing of technology. If you are

building web sites for people using Framesets, you will have problems with complaints

in the very near future.

  • Framing breaks the link between content and a URL
  • Difficulty to link to or bookmark a particular item of content within the frameset
  • Browsers which render material linearly do not handle framesets well and they always update
  • Difficult to any site using framsets and it's detrimental the SEO

And the list goes on and on.... You must update and stop building Framebased Web Sites.

If you don't reply or reply back with a sarcastic remark, it's OK. I understand... LOL...

Hi,

Maybe you should delete your cache before working on your site (editor).

Are you coding? If not, which web builder are you using? If you're on the

editor for long periods of time, stop and save you work. X out of the editor

and clean your browser, cache, etc... The editor may not publish your

site correctly if you're on it all day. Every 10-15 minutes, save your work.

Every hour on the editor, clean your cache. Plus you might want to change

your browser as well. Maybe your browser is not updated. Google Chrome

is good to use on most web building sites. To clean the cache and if you're

using a PC on Google Chrome, close all tabs (browser windows) except one,

press ctrl+shift+delete at the same time. Select Beginning Of Time, check

Browser History, Cached images and files, etc. You don't have to do the

rest if you don't want. Press "Clear Browsing Data... The same for Firefox

  1. At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button and then select Options
  2. Select the Advanced panel.
  3. Click on the Network tab.
  4. In the Cached Web Content section, click Clear Now.

I hope all of this helped...

Peacej
