Check to see if it is in your Login items - if it is, delete it there as there is absolutely no need for it to run at that time. That would be System Preferences > Users & Groups > Login items.
Also, System Preferences > Security & Privacy > check every section and untick if necessary. For instance, I am a privacy advocate and I can't see a need for Epson to gain access to my contacts.
And, System Preferences > Notifications > if you don't want to be notified, make sure to untick everything for an app; that way, it is moved out of Notification center and won't bother you. By default, just about every new app is placed in it.
