Every morning when I come in my Mac Pro says I'm out of disk. I've moved pretty much everything I could each time, so now time to find the culprit.
I ran GrandPerspective and located a strange folder that is over 100GB. Its - /private/var/folders/rz/SOME RANDOM CHARACTERS AND NUMBERS/C/com.apple.AddressBook/com.apple.AddressBook.thumbnailcache.
Been searching around, but can't find anything with a solution.
Any ideas?

A senior tech walked me through it on the phone - it did involve logging in as a root user and throwing away the offending file - but I don't know the specific details enough to pass them on. And as a disclaimer, that file is growing again - last time I Iooked it was up to 15 Gb. So the fix didn't hold although it's nowhere as bad as originally (70 Gb)
I wanted to bring this up again since there have been a couple OS updates since then, and my space is still fluctuating wildly. I can't even install the most recent update because of it. What's the best way for someone who isn't terribly comfortable in things like Terminal to deal with this?
