Apps won't finish processing in iTunes after updating them

I'm trying to update my apps through iTunes on my laptop. It updates the app then freezes in the processing of the file. Any way to fix this or stop it from happening?

I did not uninstall iTunes, or or anything else. I just signed out of iTunes, then re-signed in.

I did have to do this several times. Each time a few more apps got downloaded and "processed".

Also, my apologies for putting my contribution to this thread in the "iTunes for Windows" forum. My iTunes is on a Mac.

I found this thread by searching on "processing".

same issue here. sometimes I can get a app to update by force quiting and going back in. But I've got 3 apps that just won't update (stuck for two days). After force quiting when i go back into itunes it often times ask for my itunes password. Nothing has changed on my imac other than I loaded the latest patch to Mavericks a day or two before this started happening. I feel that it is something to do with Mavericks patch because before the patch I downloaded the upgrade to numbers etc and after mavericks it asked me to download them again even though I did it a two weeks before.

wow. ok. I thought i was the only one.

Using Win XP , itunes 11.1.38 . i had the same issue when i was on 10.x .

strange thing is that mine only gets stuck at "processing file" if that app is above 500m. Anything lower and it updates properly.

i have tried uninstalling, reinstalling and even deleting the temp file in the itune folder.

same results. i do hope that this resolves quickly

And another herre. Have tried every remedy suggested in a logical order

1. Sign out of itunes

2. Force quit (as wont close by itself)

3. Delete files in itunes download folder

4. Restart Mac

5. Restart Itunes

6. Log into itunes store

7. Complete downloads

8. OK for 2/3 downloads

9. Then freezes on processing file !!!!

Errrgghhhh!!

Any more suggestions ?

I am running on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and using iTunes 11.1.3. I am also experiencing the same problem. Itunes just get stuck in "Processing File" after finishing downloading the app. Some of the downloads (app updates) will work and then get stuck again in "processing file". Tried to do a simultaneous downloads, but in the i get stuck with 3 downloads in "processing file". Got the same problem when downloading my new purchases, stuck in "processing file".

I tried deleting the contents of the " downloads folder" in itunes, but still the same results.

Tried logging out, then logging in again. Still the same results.

I got no problems doing updates on my iphone and my ipad air and ipad mini. What i did try though is i update the apps on my iphone and ipad, and then i hook them up on my desktop to do transfer of purchases. It actually works. Itunes copied the updated apps and my new purchases on my iphone and ipad. Now the problem is whenever i update the apps that are not installed in any of my idevice. It will update a few apps (1-3 apps) and the will get stuck again in "processing file". So in the end I am stuck with a library of apps that are not updated.

I've got a lot of faith in apple, i do love their products. But sometimes some of their products just won't work. I have given up on setting up icloud mail on my outlook. I have given up on icloud photos not syncing with windows 7 desktop. Why I gave up? Because I cannot find any solution that works for me. I cannot find any solution in sight. icloud is a great product, but poorly executed.

I hope apple fixes this ASAP.

I'm also a Mac OSX (Mnt. Lion) use with the same issue. Didn't realize this was a Windows thread after finding it through a search. After many force quits, 2-3 apps will continue the endless "processing file". I then have to log in to Apple ID on restart.

I provided iTunes Feedback at this link (also available through the iTunes menu). http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html
