Dec 20, 2013 11:17 AM in response to emilyll33by Kappy,No, that will not work well for you. You need to get her an Apple ID of her own and a separate email address. Create a new user account for her on your computer so she can maintain her own iTunes library for her music, apps, photos, etc.
You can open an iTunes Store account using your charge card or you can create it to use no charge card so she can only get free apps: Creating an iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store, and Mac App Store account without a credit card.

Dec 20, 2013 12:59 PM in response to emilyll33by crh24,Yes, you can set it up so she doesn't receive your messages. The problem is that it requires trust for she can change it back to receiving your messages at any time via Settings->Messages.
I currently have four iPads, two iPhones, and three iMacs all using the same AppleID and they all have their own separate iMessage and FaceTime addresses. It works well for I work in a trusted environment. Any of the users at any time could add the address of another device to their iOS device/iMac and receive iMessages sent to that device—they just don't do that.
So if you trust your daughter won't change her system to read messages directed to you then she can share your AppleID. To be absolutely sure she can't read messages directed to you separate AppleIDs are required as Kappy has already suggested.
