Macbook Air with 1TB SSD

Hi

Does anybody know if a 1TB SSD from the newest Macbook Pro 13" fit into the newest Macbook Air?

I love my mackbook Air, but for my job as a photographer I need more space. I alos work with programs that build my pictutres and they already need about 150GB space as scratch disk.

So my 500 SSD Air is always on a limit and even on a production I have to always have a drive to store extra data/swap it from the macbook air.

This data is about 300GB per prduction.

So a 1TB Air would be just fine. But cant buy it at apple :-(

Does anybody know?

Then I buy a 13" 1TB and swap the drives.

I do not need a fast mashine, I got an iMac for the hard work at home.

Thank you,

R*

Thats $1900.00 US for that ..... have you asked yourself if you really need that much onboard storage?

purchase a 1TB superslim HD for $60

$1900.00 VS. $60.00 ,..... and you need an external HD for backups regardless.

I do not need external HD´s

I need fast internal Storage

I got about 40TB external storage through Thunderbold and LAN

I Ask a question about a Yes/NO and still people come here with ideas of slow external drives and other suggestions-

My fastest External drive is a 1TB SSD Samsung EVO in a smal self-powering Thunderbold-Case. That is my backup timedrive when I am on production.

I need more internal HD to have all things running and can work with it.

It is not about the money the 1TB cost it is about pure performace and ease of use.

I could also get a older macbook Pro and stuff two EVO SSD with each 1TB, but that is not what I asked or whant.

The connectors on the Air and Pro are excactly the same. check ifixit and put the two in PS together.

The connectors on the Air and Pro

Depends on Year and model.

Air has gone from Micro Sata to PCIe SSD

Pro has gone thru 2 diff. micro sata and diff form factors,.... and now a PCIe SSD

Current Pro has PROPRIETARY FORM PCIe SSD

As to external HD,....everyone everyone, without question NEEDS an external HD for backups, data archives, etc etc.

So, thats incorrect 😊

Same size, same conector fit in but we do not know if they work.

That is the only question in this posting. Nothing else is questioned!
