To uninstall iCloud from a PC you have to re-run Apple's Icloud download (http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1455). The download's installer will give you the option to repair or remove iCloud. It cannot be removed through Windows control panel.

This does not work. Icloud will not allow me to repair, uninstall or reinstall. It just keeps giving me that error. I have contacted Apple and Microsoft, they both say the other one is responsible. It *****! APple told me to uninstall every apple file on my windows 10 system including Itunes. That does not work. This is total BS! They come out together on the stage and act all buddy buddy but they can not even come up with a fix for this problem. I hate their support staff.

This is exactly what I have. I have uninstalled office 2016 and reinstalled three times. It has nothing to do with them. It is the icloud program that has the problem. Microsoft says it is apple. Apple says they dont have training for this app as it is on microsoft. Can you believe it! We pay thousands of dollars for all the latest toys and this response is what we get?

I have to say this was a shock:

System requirements for iCloud - Apple Support

"Windows 10 currently isn't supported with iCloud for Windows."

From looking at other forums this seems to be a correct statement - so none of the suggestions will solve the problem. We just have to wait for a fix like many of us have done in previous bootcamp situations. Even a manual uninstall won't help if the reinstall won't work.

If it is any comfort I work in equal portions with Apple, Google, and Microsoft. All are great with big concepts, and all are poor on details. There are so many people working on creating the software that nobody notices the small bugs. Win 10, Chrome OS, and OSx have problems. I just keep in mind the line in the old movie Breakfast Club "Screws fall outall the time, the world is an imperfect place."

I remember a time when Apple would do almost anything to help you out if there was a problem with their kit or their software. It would seem that they now care more about staging exciting EVENTS and announcements than supporting those of us that, for one reason or another, need to have a foot in both camps. Many of us work in organisations where Apple equipment is not adopted so whether we like it or not, we need to work with windows as well as OSX/iOS. Until recently, this did not present an issue BECAUSE Apple recognised this and helped us out with iCloud for windows and Safari for Windows. First they just drop Safari now they seem uninterested in iCloud for windows. So what was all that about Microsoft working closely with Apple on a product that seems to be at the heart of the issues we are facing here? This attitude is, in my opinion, unlikely to encourage us all to ditch our Windows hardware in favour of the Apple hardware, is it. On the contrary, the attitude would tend to indicate that Apple, under the new management, gives not one jot about its user base. Maybe they actually don't really care about anything other than sales of mobile devices and being able to tell us how this device or that feature is the best, or has sold the most units "On the Planet".

I invite Apple to prove me wrong, indeed I hope they prove me wrong, I want them to prove me wrong. I want back the Apple that cared about their users rather than press releases.

😝

So after several days of searching and not finding anything of value with how to deal with error code 2343, I can only suggest one thing, which it would probably be best to do anyway if you are intent on returning said computer. 😉

If it's windows 10 go to the control panel and make sure it's activated, it will say in the control panel / system / activation if it is or not. If it is not search online for the command to force it too activate.

Download and create your .ISO (Recovery Media 32/64bit according to what you have) and go to the PC's individual component manufacturer's website's and download your respective drivers.➕

Make a note of your main bios settings.ℹ

If you have a Pre Requisite such as the Intel Pre Install Driver get that on a USB 2.0 Drive (3.0 doesn't work without a UEFI String First - Stick to USB 2.0 - it's easier.)ℹ

Change Your Boot Order in your BIOS (Before you do though make sure your motherboards BIOS is as up to date as possible by checking with said manufacturer again, and assign the Optical Drive as you Primary Boot Device.ℹ

Reboot and reinstall your pre requisites such as Intel rapid start ect, when asked whilst reinstalling a fresh (delete the previous partions, thus doing a clean reinstall of Windows 10) Then Never reinstall any Apple Software (You don't really need it anyway, perhaps iTunes, but that's all. Use the Windows 10 add a device function instead then from now on and you can use iClouds full function set via Nightly (Official 64bit Firefox) You lose nothing in function but gain your hard drive space, CPU Cycles and LAN Bandwidth...✅

I would like to have helped ye more but as the installer has encryption I cant retool it too remove itself, and I've been using iOS since 1.1, and this sort of thing happens every 3 or so iOS system updates, whilst making previous products redundant. So I think the lesson to learn is only use rubbish such as Apples Windows Programs at your own risk.⚠

iCloud (should be called iClogYourSystemUpRegularly) Bill "The CEO" SA

Kind regards

And off to do the same thing as I just suggest, hope this helps

Richard

Does anyone know if Apple support actually monitor these threads? At the moment, the total lack of response in any way from an Apple Tech. person is making me think I would do better to just cut my loses, sell what Apple equipment I still have and just completely go over to the dark side! Just seems such a shame after all the work Steve put into building Apple into what it became (I use the past tense advisedly).

Why won't someone from Apple DO SOMETHING!
