32bit window 7 on bootcamp 5 in Mavericks

Hi I am having a bit of difficulty trying to install Windows 7 on Boot Camp on my MacBook Pro 13 inch retina.

The thing is I alredy installed Windows 7 before on Boot Camp, but now I want to do it on my new Mac.

When I try to install 32bit win seven it says they can only install 64-bit Windows 7. (and I dont have 64bit win 7)

I have seen that some people have installed previous versions of Boot Camp to get around this.

Is this the best way? And if I do this what drivers/window support software should I install for my MacBook Pro retina.

Any suggestions would be really helpful thank you:)

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

What I've done to install XP is to use Boot Camp to create the partition, then exit out of Boot camp and install from the Windows disk. You'll need to download the 32 bit drivers though.

Okay so I've used the old Boot Camp software to make a partition. Then I restart my Mac hold the option key, and select the Windows CD.

Then an error comes up that says...."cdboot couldn't find bootmgr no bootable drivers insert blank disk and press any key.

the disk was already inserted, and when I press any key nothing happens.

So I open the disk drive, and shut it again. And then press any keys and again nothing happens what should I do

Uh oh... I think the problem you've hit is because you don't have an internal optical drive. I didn't think about that. Macs don't like to boot anything other than OS X from an external. I did take a look though, and it seems like Boot Camp 4 could do what you need. Here's the download:

Read the FAQ over. It sounds like this is the way you have to do it on your model.
